Title: Building an Effective Insider Threat Program: Part 1

Description:

Since 2001, CERT’s National Insider Threat Center has been collecting and analyzing insider incidents in an attempt to develop potential risk indicators of insider threats.  We have worked across the DoD, USG, Law Enforcement, Industry, and Academia by assisting organizations to build insider threat mitigation capabilities integrated into enterprise-wide risk management programs.  Attendees in the session will walk away with actionable guidance on how insider incidents evolve overtime, technical and behaviorally based risk indicators, a framework for building an effective insider threat program, identification of data sources to be incorporated into an insider threat data analytic hub, and strategies for incorporating Human Resources and General Counsel into the program to ensure privacy and civil liberties are protected.
