Event Information

Title: Prevent Workplace Violence through Security Screening

Description:

To safeguard people and property, many organizations are implementing security screening programs to find prohibited, illegal, or dangerous items. Common screening techniques and methods include metal detection, physical search (bag or package, pat-down, vehicle), trace detection, and x-ray technology. However, unless properly planned and implemented, these security screening programs may not be effective and, in some cases, may expose the organization to additional liability. But guidance for implementing and managing an effective security screening program is available. Learn how to select the appropriate screening methods and equipment to accomplish specific security goals and how to design and staff screening areas. Review requirements for employee training and testing as well as for record keeping.
